New Blog

Hello all! Hope that you manage to join the blog :) for the first post, i'm going to type up the plays we were told of today..get the ball rolling!

For Girls:
Shelagh Stephenson- Memory of Water/ Five Kinds of Silence
Anthony Minghella - Cigarettes and Chocolate
Lorca - Blood Wedding (look at modern translations such as Ted Hughes)
Frank McCourt
Neil LaBute - Fat Pig / The Shape of Things etc.
Enda Walsh
Leo Butler - Redundant (northern play)
How to Disappear Completely and Never be Found - Finn Kennedy
Sophie Treadwell - Machinal
Ed Thomas
Philip Riddley
Laura Wade - Breathing Corpses

In addition to this, personally i would recommend girls to read Bryony Lavery's More Light (A NT connections piece) - i have a copy of this if anyone would like to borrow it- it is a play about imperial concubines who are immured into their Emporers tomb when he dies, and shows the extent to which humans will go to survive- also mainly all women roles!
